About Workshop
EduCorp Centre for Research and Advanced Studies is pleased to announce the conduct of an one-day workshop in Research Paper Writing using LaTeX (which is pronounced «Lah-tech» or «Lay-tech»). LaTeX is a high-quality typesetting system; it includes features designed for the production of technical and scientific documentation. LaTeX is the de facto standard for the communication and publication of scientific documents. Elsevier, Kluwer, and other major publishers provide style files for writing scientific papers in LaTeX. It is also used as the key method of displaying formula on Wikipedia. LaTeX is available as free software.
This workshop is designed to benefit Members of Faculty, Research Scholars and final year UG and PG students (engaged in thesis writing) from Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, etc. Interested candidates can attend the workshop.

This workshop is designed to provide hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Typesetting journal articles, technical reports, books, and slide presentations.
- Control over large documents containing sectioning, cross-references, tables and figures.
- Typesetting of complex mathematical formulas.
- Automatic generation of bibliographies and indexes.
- Multi-lingual typesetting.
- Inclusion of artwork, and process or spot color.
At the end of course, participants would have
- Exposure to LateX Software.
- Interactive Lecture Sessions
- Demonstration of Document Preparation for Various Journals
- Group Discussions to Clarify Doubts
- Good Multimedia Content to Help Participants Grasp the Materials Easily

About the Resource Persons
Prof. Niyas K Haneefa has been working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication at Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Trivandrum. He is Pursuing his PhD with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras), He completed his MTech from IIT Guwahati. He is having more than 15 years of experience in teaching, industry and research. Prof. Niyas K Haneefa has published several research papers in national and international peer reviewed journals.
He has been a resource person for various workshops.
