About the Resource Persons
Dr. Chacko Preno Koshy is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Saintgits College of Engineering, Kottayam. He did his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering as well as M.Tech in Machine Design from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and PhD from National Institute of Technology, Calicut. His research group focuses on Nanotribology, Bio-based nano-lubricants and nano-fuels, Polymer-based nanocomposites, Synthesis of nanoparticles for lubricant applications and Bio-mechanics. His research group has been granted 2 Australian Patents for the innovations in 2021.
He has published over 20 international peer reviewed journal papers, 42 international/national conferences. Presently, his lab possess seven sponsored research funding from various agencies like AICTE, CERD APJAKTU, KSCSTE. He has coordinated FDPs/STTPs funded by AICTE, APJAKTU and KSCSTE in the area of Nanofluidics, Tribology and Surface Engineering. He is an approved research supervisor of APJAKTU and also an Academic Auditor of the parent university. He has guided 5 M.Tech and 36 B.Tech scholars. Presently, he guiding 2 doctoral scholars under the parent university. Currently, he is a reviewer of over ten technical journals.
